Laura Kerry-Henkel, Ph.D. Navigating Special Education & Disability Diagnosis

Laura Kerry-Henkel's Session Is Available Until Thursday, February 14 @ 05 PM EST

Laura Kerry-Henkel is a mother and school psychologist in Tucson, Arizona. She worked as a special and general education teacher for over 15 years before returning to school to pursue a degree in school psychology. Her four children, ages 14, 13, 11 and 10, keep her on her toes and manage to keep her humble as well. As a parent, her priority is that her children know that they are loved and cared for, no matter what. Three of her children deal with mental health issues that impact their ability to perform in school. As such, Laura can view the school system from the perspective of a parent, as well as a teacher and school psychologist. This has helped her to learn how to advocate for her own children and to communicate in a clear and respectful manner with students and their families.
